Frequently Asked Questions

UAE E-Invoicing — Questions Answered

Is Dolphin ERP compliant with UAE e-invoicing 2027?
Yes. Dolphin ERP is compliant with the UAE e-invoicing mandate. The platform generates invoices in PINT-AE XML format on the Peppol 5-corner model and integrates with UAE Ministry of Finance pre-approved Accredited Service Providers. Every Dolphin solution is ready for the January 1, 2027 go-live deadline.
Who is required to implement UAE e-invoicing?
All businesses conducting business in the UAE are in scope — whether VAT-registered or not. Businesses with annual revenue above AED 50 million must appoint an ASP by July 31, 2026 and go live by January 1, 2027. Businesses below AED 50 million must appoint by March 31, 2027 and go live by July 1, 2027. Free zone companies are not exempt.
What is the UAE e-invoicing ASP appointment deadline?
The UAE Ministry of Finance ASP appointment deadline has been extended to October 30, 2026. The mandatory go-live for all B2B and B2G transactions remains January 1, 2027. For the latest official information visit the UAE Ministry of Finance website.
Can I use my own ASP with Dolphin ERP?
Yes. If your business has already appointed an ASP from the UAE Ministry of Finance pre-approved list, Dolphin ERP can integrate with that provider as a custom project. Contact our Dubai team to discuss your specific ASP requirements and timeline.
What is the Peppol 5-corner model in UAE e-invoicing?
The UAE e-invoicing system uses the Peppol 5-corner model. Corner 1 is the supplier, Corner 2 is the supplier ASP, Corner 3 is the buyer ASP, Corner 4 is the buyer, and Corner 5 is the UAE Federal Tax Authority. All invoices are transmitted in PINT-AE XML format. Businesses cannot connect directly — only ASPs have access to the infrastructure.
What VAT category codes are required in UAE e-invoices?
UAE e-invoicing requires six VAT category codes at line-item level: S (Standard Rate — 5%), Z (Zero-Rated — exports and qualifying services), E (Exempt — financial services, residential property), AE (Reverse Charge — electronics, precious metals, crude oil), O (Out of Scope — designated free zone transactions), and G (Export outside UAE).
